Hi! I'm Rob — a Staff Research Scientist and Founding Member at Sakana.AI, where we build nature-inspired methods for the LLM era. My work includes The AI Scientist (v2), ShinkaEvolve, EvoLLM, and learned evolutionary optimization. I'm also wrapping up my PhD on Evolutionary Meta-Learning at TU Berlin. Before that, I spent time at Google DeepMind in Tokyo and interned with the London Discovery team.
